About this speaker

Dee started the London Joint Working Group on Substance Use and Hepatitis C (LJWG) in 2009. The LJWG developed recommendations for the substance use and hepatitis C sector. Their projects include two pharmacy testing pilots for hepatitis C , those tested included a high level of homeless people who would not otherwise have been tested and treated. The LJWG also developed a tool in collaboration with London partners to coordinate health support for homeless people in hotels during the pandemic.

Dee has worked in drug and alcohol management and development over the last decades in prescribing services, harm reduction, day programmes and rehabs. She is currently working in 2024-25 developing a peer based harm reduction service in Hackney. This service is led by living experience people who use drugs as well as lived experience peers.
